| SCHOOLS TOTAL HEALTH PROGRAM - INDIA
The Schools Total Health Program is a health program for 5-18 year olds. It’s effective and sustainable, and created to empower young people with the knowledge, attitudes and skills to live healthy lives. The
partner’s (HEPI) long term aim is to develop a network of teams on each continent developing and implementing culturally sensitive, need driven, programs.
It achieves this through:
• Liaising with Education Department, Government & other key stakeholders
• Teacher Training (around 12,000 teachers are trained every year)
• Encouraging parental & community involvement along with the child’s learning
• Curriculum Development
