Water purification plant set up in Hikkaduwa province north of Galle, one of the worst hit areas and near the destroyed train line that you would have seen in the media.

This water purification plant is now producing up to 50,000 litres of pure drinking water every day. This is enough water for around 5,000 people based on an average usage of 10 litres per person per day. The availability of this fresh clean water is a vital contribution at a time when many other water sources have been contaminated or are out of operation.
