Hike for Hope is an initiative of Baptist World Aid Australia in support of overseas community development projects.

Baptist World Aid Australia was formed in 1959 to help manage funds and goods for distribution amongst refugees. Today, Baptist World Aid Australia supports SAO Child Sponsorship and community development projects in over twelve countries across Africa and Asia. We also contribute to relief in emergency situations around the world.

Our vision is to share resources with the oppressed and powerless to enable them to lift themselves out of poverty and to live with dignity in communities of justice and peace.

We work through Christian partner agencies overseas to empower the poor and oppressed to free themselves from poverty and cope with emergencies.

We are also committed to working with volunteers in Australia to minimise our overhead costs. Around 85 cents in every dollar you give goes overseas where it's needed most.
